A BIG Hello!

Hello Year One and your families,

It has been lovely to speak to your adults this week. They have told us how brave you all are, how you have been helping at home, playing outside, going on walks and trying hard with your home learning. They have also told us that you are enjoying learning about Giuseppe Arcimboldo, The Enormous Turnip and measuring in maths.

We continue to think about you all often and we are all extremely proud of our Year One children.

Keep smiling and stay safe.

Love,

Mrs Thomson-Plant, Mrs Woodward, Mrs Jackson and Mrs Brunyee. :-)

We are so Proud of our Year One Superstars!

Hello Year One and your families,

we continue to be so proud of our Year One superstars. During our phone calls, we have heard how brave you are being and how you are all still smiling. We are so proud of your resilience as the weather has changed and how you are finding different ways to have fun indoors such as playing boardgames, baking and completing this week's family activity of making a den! We even got to see some of you in your dens (when some of the adults emailed school the photographs) which was a real treat for us! It was also lovely to hear about Ramadan, when we spoke to some of our families, and how this special time of the year for some of our families is continuing in different ways due to staying at home.

Here is next week's home learning Option A. We hope that you enjoy finding out about farms and farmyard animals.

Take care, look after each other, stay safe and most of all keep smiling.

Love,

Mrs Thomson-Plant, Mrs Woodward, Mrs Jackson and Mrs Brunyee. :-)

We are Missing your Smiling Faces!

Hello Year One and your families,

we are missing you all and your smiling faces but we continue to be so proud of you all. It has been lovely to see a few photographs this week of some of you and to see how you are helping at home. It is a special week this week as Friday is a bank holiday to mark the 75th anniversary of VE Day. How will you be celebrating? Isla, Archie and I are going to bake and hang bunting up in our window, alongside the rainbows, we are also searching for red, white and blue clothes to wear during the day. It would be lovely to see any photographs of how you and your families mark the occasion!

Mrs Woodward and I have been busy discussing and planning for next week's home learning. We hope that you enjoy completing it. I am looking forward to making a smoothie and creating a treasure map with Isla and Archie.

Take care, look after each other and please continue to stay safe and to keep smiling.

Love,

Mrs Thomson-Plant, Mrs Woodward, Mrs Jackson and Mrs Brunyee

You are all Amazing!

Hello Year One and your families,

we continue to be so proud of our amazing Year Ones! During our phone calls, with you and your families, Mrs Woodward and I have heard how well you all are, how you are helping at home, still smiling, keeping safe and being truly amazing! We have heard about your lovely family walks, games in the garden and how you have kept in touch with family and friends. My family and I played Disney Bingo together via Zoom (with three other households) and I dressed as Rapunzel (my outfit from our fairy tale day) and it made me think of the lovely day that we had together! It also made my nieces and nephews smile when they saw me all dressed up and ready for our quiz!

This week is Sports Week so Miss Hunt has been busy preparing ideas and activities that will be emailed to your families and it would be lovely if you complete some of the activities.

Our activities, in the Option A tab', are based on animals so we hope that you enjoy learning about your favourite animals this week.

Keep being amazing, keep smiling and keep safe!

Love,

Mrs Thomson-Plant, Mrs Woodward, Mrs Jackson and Mrs Brunyee
