Welcome back to school! I hope you have all had a lovely summer holiday.

After that we will be focusing on the topic of our local area Whiston.

Spring Second Half
Welcome back after Febraury half term. I hope you have all had a well deserved break.
This half term we are exploring the topic 'How can we help save Earth?'
We will be particularly focusing on the book 'Duffy's Lucky Escape' where the children will be examining how plastic pollution effects our streams, rivers and seas.

Spring (first half)
This half term we focusing on the history topic ’The Great Fire of London.’ The children will also be given the opportunity to immerse themselves in their learning by taking part in an EPIC topic day based on life in 1666.

Autumn (second half)
In Year Two, you will be learning about many different topics such as: All about me, Whiston, The Great Fire of London and significant British people. You will take part in educational visits such as: a walk around Whiston, a Great Fire of London dressing-up day and a visit to the seaside. One of the highlights of the year, is the Year Two Nativity performance at Whiston Parish Church.
