Welcome back to your virtual school learning page, I hope you had a lovely two week Easter break! This half term we will be continuing with our topic of the Romans, each week I will put suggested resources on this page to help keep you motivated and continue your learning journey.
Myself and Mrs Haynes are missing you lots and can’t wait to return back to school.
Write a non-chronological report on the Roman. These reports could then be used of our new classroom display to tell other people in our school about the Romans
WALT: Understand features of a non-chronological report and plan our own
Task- Plan and research
Look at an example of a non-chronological report and pick out features of a non-chronological report e.g Headings, subheadings, variety of conjunctions, facts & paragraphs
Then research and plan your report on the Romans.
WALT: Use headings effectively
Task: Write your introduction
WALT: Understand the difference between fact and opinion
Task: Write paragraph 2- 'Who were the Romans?'
WALT: Use a variety of conjunctions
Task: Write paragraph 3, which can be a paragraph of your choice, e.g Roman soldiers, Roman clothing, Roman gods, etc
WALT: Up level and edit our work
Conclusion (summarise & where can they can find out more information), up-level and edit work.

Maths- Roman Numerals
This week your learning is all about Roman Numerals, exciting! your WALT is to read Roman numerals to 100 (I to C) and know that over time, the numeral system changed to include the concept of 0 and place value.
