Our class sleepover
Sport and well-being week
We are very excited to be taking part in lots of fun activities linked to sport and well-being in the week beginning 22.05.17. Please remember that we will be running a mile each day and children are encouraged to come to school wearing suitable footwear. We will also be making healthy snacks to share with Year 6. If you've got any questions about this, don't hesitate to come and see Mrs Denwood.
Pirates of the Curry Bean
We are already having lots of fun rehearsing for our End of Year production and hope to see lots of friendly faces smiling at us from the audience. If you would like to join us, we will be performing in the school hall on the following dates:
Monday 17th July at 1.30pm
Tuesday 18th July at 9.30am
A letter will follow in the next few weeks regarding ticket requests :)
School meal reminder
Please remember that from Monday 24th April all school meals must be ordered online as we will no longer be able to order meals in class. If you haven't already got an account, please see the staff in the office.
On Tuesday 25th - Friday 28th April all children have the opportunity to take part in level 1 and 2 cycle training. Please remember to use the bike safety check form below before sending your bike into school. Children are also required to bring a helmet.
On Thursday 6th April we are visiting EIS to take part in a wide range of exciting sports. Please remember to send your child to school with a packed lunch and plenty to drink. Children don't need to wear school uniform, instead come wearing something sporty.
Comic Relief Day
Year 5 had a fantastic day on 24th March raising lots of money for Comic Relief. Thank you to everyone who came to support us in the Danceathon at the end of the day and for all the sponsorship money for our class marathon.
Celebration of learning assembly
Come and help celebrate our learning so far on Monday 23rd January at 2.45pm (in the hall)
Coal Mining museum
Year 5 had a brilliant time at the Coal Mining museum and all enjoyed getting as dirty as possible. We learnt lots about the different roles down the mine and the way in which mining has developed over time. We look forward to applying our new knowledge back in the classroom
Themed Learning Day
Look out for news in the next few weeks about the themed learning day that will be taking place in our class. The children will be invited to come to school wearing traditional Victorian costume ready to experience life in a Victorian classroom. It promises to be a fun-filled day.
