We can't wait to see everyone's creative reading projects linked to Goodnight Mr Tom. Don't forget they are due on Tuesday 31st March.

Spring Term 2

We hope you all had a lovely half term holiday and are raring to go for another half term of learning. This half term we will begin our SATs preparation and will really start unpicking some previous SATs papers. A 'typical' week will see us focussing on the GPS paper on a Monday, Reading paper on a Tuesday, Arithmatic on a Wednesday, Reasoning 1 on a Thursday and Reasoning 2 on a Friday. We will focus on developing resilience in each paper and will then collaboratively take our learning further after each one.

This half term we will also explore plastic pollution linked to our whole school book week topic. In Art we will continue sculpting with Mrs Carlin and in Computing we will develop our adventure quests with Mrs Whiting.

PE will be taught on a Monday (Cricket) and Thursday (Netball). Both sessions will be outdoors (weather permitting) so please bring kit suitable for the cold weather.

Keep up your wonderful attitude year 6 - we are all very proud of you :)

Welcome back

Welcome back everyone and Happy New Year! We hope you all had a lovely Christmas and a well-earned rest. Now we’re back, this half term we will be having lots of fun continuing our World War Two topic. This half term we will focus on evacuation and the impact the war had on children. We are particularly excited to start reading our new class novel – Letters from the Lighthouse.

PE this half term will focus on orienteering and tag rubgy. We look forward to learning lots of new skills and continuing to show excellent team skills and support for our fellow class members.
