Summer 1-Week 4

Hello everyone! I hope you are all well and had a lovely bank holiday. I am missing you all very much and hope you are enjoying some quality time with your families.

This week is the final week of the Romans, as next week is sports and wellbeing week, so all your learning will be set around that. Then after the holidays we start our new and exciting topic of the ancient Greeks!

This week in writing you will be writing newspaper reports, I have suggested you write these on Boudicca’s rebellion, however feel free to write it on a different area of the Romans, or even an entirely different topic of your choice. It could even be on the current Covid-19 pandemic. However which ever topic you choose to write your newspaper on please try and focus on the same WALT’s. As always if you produce a newspaper you are particularly proud of why not send it in for me to take a look at, as I love reading your work!

Your spellings this week will be looking at the prefix ‘auto’

In maths your learning is based on multiplication and division. Remember try to use the column multiplication method, you could always use grip alongside if you are struggling. For division use the chunking method we have practiced, however if you are confident in short division you can also give this a try.

On the school website there is plenty of topic options based around the Romans and our science topic of solids liquids and gasses.

I will be giving you all a call later in the week to check how you are.

Have a lovely week of learning, remember to stay safe and be good for your parents!
